JUNCTION CITY, Ore. — Folks in Junction City took advantage of Friday’s sunny weather to do a bit of self-promotion.
They shot a commercial for the Rad Run, a 5K obstacle course set for May 11.
Olympian Ashton Eaton and several mascots made an appearance.
“There are a lot of runs that are corporate and national and they come in here for a quick day and they’re gone. They don’t really leave much of a footprint when they get done, but the fact that this is something that will give to the community throughout the whole year, I think it will have a great impact,” said Jordan Kent, event coordinator.
A portion of the proceeds will go to seven local charities. To find out more on what you can expect at the event or to register, check out their site.
