Thousands of Kids Hunt for Easter Eggs

4-19 megga huntSPRINGFIELD, Ore. — A little rain didn’t stop more than 1,000 kids from hunting for Easter eggs filled with prizes during Willamalane’s annual Megga Hunt.

Around 1500 kids took part in the hunt Saturday morning. Willamalane divided the kids into different age categories and every few minutes a different group of kids started looking for eggs.

Willamalane said this year, despite the weather, they had a better turnout than in the past.  “Even though it’s raining right now it was beautiful and sunny earlier. Just a great time to come out with the family. Hunt for some eggs, listen to some awesome music, eat a cookie, and just enjoy a Saturday in Oregon,” said Kim Lyddane, Willamalane Event Coordinator.

After the hunt, families stuck around to listen to some music and create some craft projects.
