EUGENE, Ore. — The Dalai Lama is scheduled to visit the University of Oregon in May, and tickets for that event go on sale Monday morning.
His Holiness will visit the Matthew Knight Arena on May 10. Local Buddhists say it’s a huge honor to have such an important figure come to Eugene.
One Buddhist priest calls the Dalai Lama a leader in the best sense.
“He’s such a strong representative of the core teachings of Buddhism,” said local abbot Ejo McMullen.
Tickets for the Dalai Lama’s visit go on sale Monday at 10 am and can be purchased online at the Matthew Knight Arena website or at the arena’s box office.
