EUGENE, Ore. — The Lane County Veterans Treatment Court is holding a town hall meeting for veterans Friday, so they can learn about all the different services the court has to offer.
Event organizers say the court is focused on helping those already in the justice system, but they want all veterans to come out and help their fellow serviceman get the help they often don’t realize they need or deserve.
Lane County Assistant District Attorney Jay Hall says, “It takes sometimes a veteran to tell a veteran, ‘No, this is for you, this is something you fought for. It’s your right. You need to go ahead and do it.’ It’s that connection that we’re looking for.”
It happens April 25 at 6 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Building located at 1626 Willamette St. in Eugene.
