EUGENE, Ore. – With the change of the Eugene Marathon from April to July, organizers hope the usually quiet weather patterns of summer in Western Oregon will take the weather out as a factor for this year’s marathon runners. However, will the summertime heat become the new factor for runners? Chief Meteorologist Justin Stapleton addresses concerns about the heat of July and whether that will be a factor for runners this year.
