Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Bust

ONTARIO, Ore. – Oregon State Police arrested two men Thursday after discovering drugs concealed in their car.

Troopers say around 8:30 a.m. a car was stopped on Goodfellow Street for an equipment traffic violation. During the traffic stop, the trooper, assisted by an OSP drug detection canine, discovered 37 pounds of marijuana in two large duffle bags in the car’s trunk.

The value of the marijuana seized is estimated around $92,000.

OSP arrested Nethanial Neal, 20, and Robert Gonzales Jr., 23, both of Seligman, Mo. Both men were taken to the Malheur County Jail and face charges of unlawful possession and distribution of a controlled substance.
