Treasure Hunt Sale at Brattain House

TREASURE HUNT PIC FOR LAURASPRINGFIELD, Ore. — A big treasure hunt sale begins Friday, but you don’t need a map to find it.

The Brattain House in Springfield is a hub for family services for Springfield Public Schools students and their families.

During the sale, you’ll find bargain prices on a wide variety of items, from computer monitors, refrigerators, and books to rugs–all items gleaned after students left the University of Oregon for the summer.

Money raised will help pay for school supplies and backpacks for Springfield students.

“Not only is it donated from one student to us, but then we’re able to then with the proceeds give back to the students, so it’s helping our community in general,” said Janet Beckman, Brattain House homeless liason.

The sale is Friday and Saturday.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s happening at the Booth Kelly warehouse. The address is 303 S. 5th Street, Suite 155 in Springfield.
