Tree Damages Eugene Bed and Breakfast

EUGENE, Ore. — The wind storm Sunday night brought down some trees as winds blew between 45 and 55 miles an hour.

A large limb fell on the Oval Door Bed and Breakfast Inn on West 10th Avenue and Lawrence Street. The limb did some damage to the roof and gutter.

M R Tree Service in Eugene says if a tree falls in your yard or near your house, the first thing you should do is look out for downed electrical lines. In a wet yard, they can shock you.

“If a tree does hit your house, you need to be able to turn off your water, your gas, your electric. If it goes through electric lines, gas lines or power lines, it can cause more significant damage to the home or to the homeowner,” said Mike Rose, M R Tree Service Owner.

Make sure when you hire a company, it’s licensed, bonded and insured.
