Trenton’s Shopping Spree At Cabela’s

Trenton NowakSPRINGFIELD, Ore. — A Cottage Grove boy diagnosed with a fatal illness got to go on a big shopping spree Monday in Springfield.

Seven year old, Trenton Nowak, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in June and given just a couple months to live.

On Monday, the Make-A-Wish foundation gave Trenton a chance to buy whatever he wanted from Cabela’s. The store rolled out the red carpet after his limo ride there.

His family was by his side shopping with him and they say this is exactly what Trenton wanted.

“We feel very blessed and especially for the Make-A-Wish people to make this happen because he likes to fish and he likes to hunt and he loves this store, so it’s a big deal for him,” said Ronnie Nowak, his grandmother.

Scott Haugen, a TV show host from the Sportsman channel was also at Cabela’s to welcome him.
