Truck Carrying Wine Bottles Crashes

GOLD HILL, Ore. — Drivers along I-5 southbound at mile post 44 north of Gold Hill will be moving through just a single lane Friday.

That’s because a truck carrying 50,000 empty glass wine bottles crashed early Friday morning.

ODOT representatives say all of the glass bottles have to be removed from the trailer before moving it from the side of the roadway.

Officials at the crash say the truck driver was the only person involved. There is no word yet on the driver’s condition.
