Truck Driver Injured in Crash

OAKRIDGE, Ore. — A truck driver was flown to a hospital after his truck crashed into some trees Monday afternoon.

The crash happened on Highway 58 two miles west of Oakridge Monday afternoon.

Oregon State Police say the man was driving eastbound on the highway when his truck and two semi-trailers drifted into a steep ditch and hit a couple of trees. The cause of the crash is still unknown.

Firefighters extricated him from the truck and transported him via LifeFlight to Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend. He had serious injuries. His name has not been released.
