WILSONVILLE, Ore. – Oregon State Police say a crash closed Interstate 5 southbound lanes for over two hours Tuesday morning.
OSP says around 9:45 a.m. a suburban pulling a boat was traveling in the left lane to pass a truck when, for an unknown reason, the vehicle and truck collided.
When the vehicles came to a stop, they blocked the southbound lanes of the freeway. Diesel was also reported leaking from the commercial truck.
The truck’s driver was transported by ambulance to Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
One lane was re-opened around 10:40 a.m. All lanes were opened at noon.
OSP troopers were assisted by ODOT and Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue.
