Tsunami Debris Update in Florence

FLORENCE, Ore. — The public can get an update on the response to the Japanese tsunami debris that’s washing up on the Oregon Coast.

Wednesday night, the Governor’s Task Force on Japanese Tsunami Marine Debris will talk about how the response has gone so far and what to expect in the future.

Representatives from the state’s departments of Fish & Wildlife, State Parks and Environmental Quality will also be there to answer questions.

The meeting will be at Wednesday, August 29 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Siuslaw Valley Fire Hall, located at 2625 U.S. 101.
