A strong low pressure system Monday passed right over Oregon and Washington, creating perfect conditions for strong showers and a few thunderstorms. These showers will continue overnight and into Tuesday as the low moves to the east. Showers will be heaviest in the morning and slowly taper off through the day. The Umpqua Basin will be the exception, staying dry Tuesday with cloud cover burning off to partly cloudy skies. High temperatures will remain below normal: 65-70 for the inland areas and low 60’s along the coast.
Wednesday and Thursday brings sunny skies and seasonal temperatures for everyone. A weak system will sweep through on Friday cooling things off and bringing a chance of rain to the coast and higher elevations.
Saturday is the first day of Summer and begins a lovely weekend of warm temperatures and mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies.
