Tumor Hater Gives Check to Young Girl

Madison BranaughMEDFORD, Ore. — A local nonprofit charity called Tumor Hater, hopes to take some pressure off the family of a young girl suffering from a rare disorder.

On Tuesday, the nonprofit organization gave a check for nearly $7,000 to a 5-year-old girl named Madison Branaugh, who suffers from Neurofibromatosis.

After months of online sales and a big fundraising event that involved a meet and greet with ABC’s former Bachelor star Juan Pablo, Tumor Hater raised thousands of dollars to help Madison’s family with medical bills.

“The wheelchair alone that we are getting for her is almost $2,500, and the money from Tumor Hater and the community is going to help with that wheelchair,” said Madison’s father Shawn Branaugh.

Tumor Hater will be at Lithia Toyota in Medford this weekend selling merchandise, and they will have a Tumor Hater night on July 22 at the Medford Rogues game.
