METEOROLOGIST MARISA WOLOSZYN’S FORECAST DISCUSSION:
The marine layer will move in Saturday night, leading to a cloudy start Sunday morning. The clouds will break by mid morning leading to mostly sunny skies. High temperature will warm, in the low 60s along the coast, upper 80s for the valley & foothills, and low 90s for the Umpqua.
An upper level low will sit off the Northern California coast Monday through Wednesday. This upper level low will bring southwesterly winds into the area, helping our temperatures get into the mid 60s along the coast and near 90 inland. The southwesterly flow will also bring the chance for thunderstorms in the Cascades.
The low will move over western Oregon Thursday through next weekend. This will cause our upper level winds to shift and slightly cooler air to move in. The chance for thunderstorms will continue for the Cascades.
Have a super Sunday!
