Near BEND, Ore. — Two fires that started ten miles west of Bend Saturday afternoon have charred more than 6,000 acres.
The wildfires, together named the Two Bulls Fire, are at zero percent containment.

As of Sunday morning mandatory evacuations were still in affect for nearly 200 homes in the Saddleback subdivision & Skyliners Road area. Authorities say nearly 2,000 homes are considered threatened.

Crews are working to prevent the fire from spreading toward homes and protect the City of Bend’s watershed.

The Red Cross Emergency Shelter is at the High Desert Middle School located at 61111 SE 27th Street in Bend. The Deschutes County Fairgrounds is serving as a shelter for livestock.

CURRENT EVACUATION NOTICES as of June 8th, 6:10 p.m.:

The Sheriff’s Office is changing the evacuation notice of the Saddleback Subdivision area from Level III to Level II.  THIS IS FOR RESIDENTS ONLY.  Proof of residency will be required at the Sheriff’s Office Road Blocks.  Sheriff’s Office deputies will continue to patrol these areas.

We highly recommend residents continue to avoid the area, however if they choose to return we recommend they leave their livestock where it is boarded.  If residents choose to return we are encouraging them to be very cautious as their will be firefighting equipment working in the area.  If fire conditions change residents should be prepared to leave immediately.

The Level II and Level I Evacuation notices ARE STILL IN EFFECT.  The Level II notice was for residents in the area located south of Shevlin Park Road, west of Mt. Washington Drive, and north of Century Drive.

The Level I notice was for residents in the remainder of Northwest Crossing (east of Mt. Washington Drive), and the area that includes residents north of Shevlin Park and west of Mt. Washington Drive.

The Level III Evacuation Notice is still IN EFFECT for Skyliners Road residents outside the City of Bend.
