Two Nonprofits Recognized for Environmental Work

EUGENE, Ore. — Two local nonprofit organizations were rewarded for their work in bettering the community.

Both BRING Recycling and NextStep Recycling were awarded $2,500 from Ruby Porter Marketing for their extensive environmental work.

Winners were voted on by the public, and the marketing group made the final decision to pick both.

“They help educate us so that as we grow as a community, that we’re doing things the right way, being smart about our decisions and how they affect not only what we’re doing today, but how they affect us tomorrow” said Reduce, Reuse, Recycle’s creative director Joyen Pendowski.

The contest is done quarterly, and applications are being accepted now through August 3 for the next term.
