Fire-GenericMYRTLE CREEK, Ore. — A teenager and his great-grandfather died in a structure fire Friday morning, about seven miles east of Myrtle Creek, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said.

After receiving a call at about 4:30 a.m., emergency responders in Douglas County say they arrived at a double wide mobile home in the 100 block of Old County Lane, fully engulfed in flames.

The homeowners, Larry and Naomi Brubaker, made it out of the house and were taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. However, 14-year-old Spencer Brubaker and his 95-year-old great-grandfather Pitchlynn Harris died in the fire.
