SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Lane County sheriff’s deputies responded to a home Thursday and assisted the Department of Human Services in a suspected case of child neglect.
An investigation led deputies to believe that a child living in the home was not being cared for properly.
Frank William Haworth and Sabrena Lynn Haworth, the child’s guardians, were taken into custody and each charged with criminal mistreatment and child neglect. The child was taken into the care of DHS.
Sabrena and Frank Haworth were released from the Lane County Jail after 24 hours because the jail was at capacity. Both will be monitored by the Electronic Surveillance Program until their trial date.
