U.S. Remembers Pearl Harbor

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Americans all across the nation took a moment Friday to remember the day that will forever “live in infamy.”

Flags stood at half mast all over town in honor of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

One of those flags was at an assisted living facility in Springfield. That’s where one of the survivors of the attack shared his experience from that day.

“You’re in shock you know, but being trained like we were, you still do your job,” said Pearl Harbor survivor William Luckham.

He says it’s important for people to take the time to acknowledge what happened and never forget what he and those with him endured and sacrificed that day.
