UO Athletes Run for Victims

EUGENE, Ore. — University of Oregon athletes also showed their support for the Boston Marathon bombing victims.

At another historical venue for runners, Oregon’s Hayward Field, members of UO’s track and field teams took part in the Run for Boston initiative, which encouraged people to gather Wednesday and run in solidarity for the people and the runners of Boston.

The athletes say it was important for them to run for their colleagues to the east.
