EUGENE, Ore. – The University of Oregon hosted a panel of constitutional experts on campus Tuesday to recognize Constitution Day. Some of the issues discussed included the recent WikiLeaks and national security agency leak scandals.
Professor and former UO president Dave Frohnmayer sat on the panel Tuesday and says holding discussions like this is time worthy.
“I think it’s a public service for an institution to explore at least on an annual basis. The fact that we do have a constitutional form of government, which is pretty rare in the whole course of human history in the world,” Frohnmayer said.
Frohnmayer says the UO is considered one of the top-tier universities in discussing the constitution.
