EUGENE, Ore. — The University of Oregon School of Music and Dance is hosting its third annual Halloween SpookTastic Concert Monday night.
Organizers say the event is a great way to give students some performance practice while giving the community a family-friendly holiday event. Expect costumed musicians, lots of candy and Halloween spirit.
Organizers say this year’s show will also have a little something different than years past.
“We have the story of a lonely trombone player that we’re going to be reading called ‘Boney Bones, Mr. Boney Bones,’ which will be fun for the kids to kind of hear the story as it’s played out with different sound effects,” said Henry Henniger, UO trombone professor.
The show will be held in Room 190 at the Frohnmayer Music Building on the University of Oregon campus. It begins at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.
