UO Performers Celebrate MLK, Jr. Day

EUGENE, Ore. — Looking for a way to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day? Then you might want to join others at the University of Oregon for music and dance.

The UO’s School of Music and Dance will host several concerts this week in honor of the holiday.

On Monday, Jan. 21, the UO Gospel Singers will put on its show “Revival Of A Dream” at the Beall Concert Hall at 3 p.m. Admission is free.

Later this week, the UO’s Dance Africa group will celebrate its 20th anniversary with their annual concert, featuring guests artists. Those shows happen Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. in the Dougherty Dance Theater in Gerlinger Annex. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
