UO Students Rent Shelter Dogs

EUGENE, Ore. — A little bit of rain Thursday morning couldn’t stop some ducks from playing with some pups.

Greenhill Humane Society held its ducks love dogs fundraiser Thursday afternoon on the University of Oregon campus. It cost students $8 to rent a dog for 15 minutes.

During that time students walked the dogs around the quad, or some just held the little dogs who weren’t enjoying the rainy weather.

For students, the short amount of time with these shelter dogs isn’t only for fun, but is their way of donating to the shelter. “Well we both love puppies and we miss our dogs at home and her name’s Jenny, so it just kind of works out,” said Jenny Ellisen.

To keep the dogs dry during the rain, the four legged friend each wore their own rain coats.
