EUGENE, Ore. — The University of Oregon is playing Tennessee Tech on Saturday and Duck fans can expect something new during the game.
You won’t be able to miss it when the Oregon Marching Band takes the field.
All 240 band members will be sporting new uniforms. What they look remains under wraps.
The uniforms were designed and donated by Nike to replace the uniforms Nike designed in 2008.
On the field, we did get one small clue. Several band members breaking in their new shoes–black, green and yellow Nike Frees. The shoes are meant for marching. The uniform itself is athletic and comfortable.
On Saturday, you can expect a new fast tempo march during half time to get fans on their feet and ready to root for the Ducks.
For anyone coming to Auzten Stadium, make sure you get there early. You’ll be able to see the Oregon Marching Band sporting their uniforms during the pre-game show.

Is there something wrong with the sound? All I hear is the cowbell…

Let me guess: they look more like athletic wear than actual marching band uniforms.
Yes, maybe they’re more comfortable, but they make the band look like a bunch of practicing athletes waving metal instruments around. Not professional.
