Peeping Tom Seen Near UO

EUGENE, Ore. — Police are investigating several cases of Peeping Toms near the University of Oregon.

The UOPD says several people have reported someone peeking through the windows of homes at 21st Avenue and Onyx Street over the past few weeks. In all, the instances the suspect was caught peering through the windows, sometimes as late as 1:30 a.m.

Ellen Aster says she heard someone outside her window. Her neighbors ended up chasing the man down the street.

“Definitely very creepy, sneaky crime,” Aster said. “Especially when you start to think about how long has be been here in this neighborhood or how long has he been peeking around the windows.”

She now plans on installing motion activated lights around her house. Police are advising people to keep their blinds or curtains closed.

If you have any information about these crimes, call police.
