EUGENE, Ore. — It’s the performance of a lifetime for the University of Oregon’s Green Garter band. They’re opening for Youngblood Brass band, a jazz ensemble group from Wisconsin.
The 12 person band usually plays during UO football and basketball games, but on Monday night they will take the stage as the opening act.
“They pull influences from everywhere and they’ve released multiple albums,” said band director Eric Bloombaum. “This is the first time, in a really long time, they’re coming the West Coast.”
The concert is Monday, April 21 at South Eugene High School. The Green Garter band will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door.
