US Flag Ordered to Fly at Half Staff

(CNN) WASHINGTON — Flags over the U.S. Capitol are being flown at half staff to honor four Americans killed in Libya.

The U.S. ambassador to Libya, John Christopher Stevens, foreign service information management officer Sean Smith and two others were killed in an attack Tuesday at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.

Congressional leaders have issued statements condemning the attack.

According to the President Obama’s proclamation, the United States flag is to be flown at half staff until sunset, September 16, 2012.
