JUNCTION CITY, Ore. — A mother and her two kids are okay after their van hit a power pole in Junction City Tuesday morning.
Lane County sheriff’s deputies say the woman was driving south on Prairie Road when a curve caught her by surprise.
She crashed into the pole and rescue crews had to work quickly to get the trapped kids out of the wrecked van.
“The kids were crying, which is a good thing. They were up and alert. I didn’t see anything that was serious,” said Lane County Deputy Sheriff Wade Martin.
Neighbors say the curve is a ticking time bomb for dangerous crashes.
