Vehicle Crashes into Building

EUGENE, Ore. — A suspected impaired driver hit two cars and then crashed into a home Friday night.

Eugene Police say a driver was going too fast for the conditions at the intersection of Green Acres at Norikenzie. The car he was driving hit two cars and then crashed into the house at the corner. The building also acts as an office for a Farmers Insurance agent.

The homeowners were eating dinner at their counter when the crash happened. They say it sounded like an explosion. They saw the car come into their living room and then the driver jumped out of the car and ran.

K-9 units later tracked him down. Police believe that suspect was impaired.

No one was hurt during the crash.  Firefighters used a wooden beam to reinforce the home because of the crash.




Details are still unclear how this crash happened.

It happened in the 1500 block of Green Acres Road near Norkenzie Road.

The building houses a Farmers Insurance agency.

No word on injuries at this point.
