Vendors Move in for Home and Garden Show

Lane County Home and Garden ShowEUGENE, Ore. — The Lane County Home & Garden Show opens Thursday, and vendors have been busy making sure their earth-friendly booths are ready.

At the Lane Forest Products booth at the Lane Events Center, you’ll find fountains, gardens and plants.

While some of their employees are preparing their space at the show, others continue to turn storm debris from this winter’s ice storm into compost.

Another earth-friendly addition to its booth are five-gallon buckets so people can buy small amounts of mulch and dirt.

“Lots of people just have little projects that they’re working on around the house, and it’s a great way to reuse it instead of always getting something in a bag,” said Renee Thompson, Lane Forest Products.

At Down to Earth’s booth, there’s fertilizer in compostable boxes and glass sculptures made from recycled glass. The show opens Thursday at 5 p.m. at the Lane Events Center. It lasts through Sunday.
