EUGENE, Ore. — The Lane Events Center is busy right now as vendors get ready for the 30th annual Lane County Home Improvement Show.
Vendors just started setting up shop Wednesday. Show coordinators say every one of their 250 booths is filled this year. With 50 new exhibits and more music and entertainment than last year, including a gigantic pumpkin carving, organizers say there is something for everyone.
They say it’s not just a great opportunity for attendees to snag a good deal, but for the overall regional economy.
“The show has huge economic impact. It’s been a few years since the study, but this show alone was accountable for seven million (dollars) in incremental sales and impact to Lane County,” said show manager Karen Ramus.
The show officially kicks off Friday, Oct. 12 at 5 p.m. Need more incentive? Admission and parking are free, but the event is partnering with Food for Lane County, so it asks you to bring in canned donations if you can.
