EUGENE, Ore. — Vendors at the Good Earth Home, Garden, and Living Show are busy setting up their environmentally friendly booths.
The Rexius booth features benches that were remade after a fire destroyed the original benches.
Across the events center, crews assembled a greenhouse crafted from old shower door panels.
Another vendor spent the day building a solarium that provides heat from solar energy.
“We’re able to collect that during the day, and then dissipate or bring the heat in during the evening time then, so that they can be able to offset the energy costs that so often occur during the winter times,” said Milt Serafin, sales manager at Westview.
The Good Earth Home, Garden, and Living Show opens Friday at 5:00 p.m. and runs through the weekend.
