VENETA, Ore. — We now know more about the plane crash that happened east of Veneta last month.
The National Transportation Safety Board released its preliminary findings, stating witnesses said they heard the plane’s engine stop running.
The board says after that the plane hit trees and terrain, which led to fatal injuries for the passengers and pilot.
Friends of the victims say they borrowed the plane to go out on a sightseeing tour of the area.
