Veterans Thank Business for Donation

veterans thank CBT NuggetsEUGENE, Ore. — A group of WWII veterans thanked a Eugene business for a very generous donation.

CBT Nuggets, a tech company off of Country Club Road, gave $25,000 to the Honor Flight program.

It’s a program that takes local veterans for a weekend trip to see the National WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C.

“The ability to know that you can give back and touch their lives when they did such great things for us so many years ago, have a little bit of a dent makes it all worth it,” said Ryan Lee, the Chief Operating Officer of CBT.

“I mean, I was very overwhelmed,” said Mike Pungercar, the Honor Flight director. “We are very grateful for the $50, the $10, the $100 donations that people send in. To get a corporate donation of $25,000, 25 veterans are paid for right now.”

This is the company’s second $25,000 donation.
