Volunteers Needed to Clean Bike Paths

UO BIKE PATH CLEANUP PICEUGENE, Ore. — Eugene is known for being bike friendly.

This weekend, some friendly bikers are hitting the paths to do some cleaning.

The University of Oregon Outdoor Program is gathering volunteers for a campaign called BicyClean.

It’s aimed to clean the major bike paths around Eugene.

The project coordinator says they want to serve the big cycling community and hopes this will motivate people to bike, so they’re asking for anyone in the community to join.

“In order for something that’s as important as this to happen, people have to get involved. Volunteers have to get involved and so, it gives us an opportunity to facilitate and also be a part of that,” said Laughton Elliott-DeAngelis, project coordinator.
