Volunteers Prepare FFLC Meals

EUGENE, Ore. — Volunteers with Food For Lane County have been busy putting the final touches on Thanksgiving meals for those in need.

The turkey and mashed potatoes are for Food For Lane County partner agencies that are holding dinners Wednesday. That includes the Dining Room at 8th and Lincoln, Hilltop Pantry at Crow and Applegate, and Soaring Hope, through Catholic Community Services.

“We do put a little special effort in it this time of year and that’s cool. But it’s the partner agencies that want to make that special experience for the people that come to their sites,” said Dawn Marie Woodward, FFLC Spokeswoman.

Soaring Hope’s dinner is from 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday. The Dining Room will have its meal Wednesday from 1-4 p.m. Hilltop Pantry will have their meal from 6-7 p.m. that night.
