Chief Meteorologist Justin Stapleton‘s Daily Forecast Discussion:
April showers are still coming down tonight with some occasional breaks which has been the pattern all day and will continue to see showers overnight. The cooler air is also moving in so lows tonight will fall into the low 40s. Tomorrow, more of the same with a mix of showers and sun breaks and cool overall with highs in the mid 50s.
By early Saturday, we’ll see the rain shut off for just a bit as the next storm won’t arrive until Saturday evening. More showers on Sunday and isolated showers Monday but that should be the last of it for a few days and temperatures will be slowly rising back into the low 60s. There will also be areas of fog each morning since we’ve seen close to an inch of rain in the valley and more than 1.20″ at the central coast locations.
Next week though, it’ll all be worth the rain as a nice quick warm up back into the mid to upper 70s by Tuesday and Wednesday. A very tall but short lived ridge of high pressure will ensure a quick return to Spring, if even for a day or two.
Have a great Thursday night!
