It’s not a typical Walmart store. It mainly sells groceries and has a few rows of household items.
Walmart says this is the first neighborhood market opening in the area.
“We are at the merchandising stage. When we took over the building three weeks ago. It was totally empty and now we got shelves up, merchandise, getting ready for September 18th grand opening,” said Jerry Cooper Osima, Walmart Store Manager.
The store hired around 100 people, some full time and others part time, to staff the store. It says it’s still taking applications for some other positions at the store.
