Walterville Pond Health Advisory Lifted

WALTERVILLE, Ore. — Oregon health officials have lifted the health advisory for Walterville Pond, five miles east of Springfield.

They issued the advisory on Sept. 13 after high levels of blue-green algae were found in the pond, which can be unsafe for people and pets.

The water has now been deemed safe.
