Wanted Woman Turns Herself In

ALBANY, Ore. – The Linn County Sheriff’s Office says that a woman involved in a fatal motor vehicle crash last October was arrested Monday.

Janet Lee Reppy, 39, of Lebanon, turned herself in around noon at the Albany Police Department.

Sheriff’s detectives received a tip that Reppy was at a home at 31831 Berlin, Rd. in Lebanon. On the way to the residence, detectives learned Reppy had been informed that law enforcement were coming and left.

Family members of Reppy told detectives she had left to turn herself in. A short time later, Reppy turned herself in at the Albany Police Department and was taken into custody by Linn County Detectives.

Reppy was lodged in the Linn County Jail. She faces one charge for manslaughter, in association with the death of James Virgil Pointer, 21, of Lebanon, a passenger in the vehicle crash.  She also faces two counts of assault for injuries sustained by Tyler Adams, 21, of Lebanon and Kelsey Truett, 21, of Sweet Home.
