Meteorologist Marisa Woloszyn’s Forecast Discussion:
Cloudy start to the day Thursday in the Valleys, but sunshine returns in the afternoon. Thursday will be the warmest day of the next seven; high temperatures will be near 70 degrees along the coast, near 80 degrees in the Willamette Valley and Cascade foothills, and into the mid 80s in the Umpqua Basin.
Clouds will increase Friday as a weak front moves into western Washington. We’ll have a slight chance for showers along the north coast and mountains as well as the Willamette Valley late Friday night. Aside from that expect cloud cover to increase.
Skies will be partly cloudy for Saturday and Sunday of the holiday weekend. Temperatures will be in the low 60s along the coast and low to mid 70s inland. Clouds will increase late Sunday as another weak front moves into western Washington. This front will extend a little further to the south, so we’ll have a chance for showers Sunday night along the coast and early morning inland.
We’ll have another chance for showers Tuesday afternoon, but again nothing impressive. Temperatures will be slightly cooler next week.
Have a great Thursday!
