Warmer Next Week

Chief Meteorologist Justin Stapleton‘s Evening Forecast Discussion:

Saturday another weak system tries to move across the state. I’m not expecting it to bring more than a chance for some isolated showers in the late afternoon and early evening. By Sunday and most of early next week, we’ll have high pressure locked in, so sunny skies and finally highs getting back into the upper 60s!

In fact, we’ll see highs spike back to near 70 and likely low 70s in the Umpqua for the middle of next week. While the eastern half of the US will be cold and unsettled, we’ll be basking in the glory of a huge ridge of high pressure keeping us dry all throughout next week.

Have a great weekend!
