Chief Meteorologist Justin Stapleton‘s Thursday Night Forecast Discussion:
Clear skies again on tap for overnight with lows falling into the upper 40s for the valley and low 50s at the coast and in the Umpqua. All in all, excellent sleeping weather to keep the windows open throughout the night. Saturday will be another sunny, gorgeous day with highs just a tad warmer, mainly sitting in the low to mid 80s. Plenty of breezes in the afternoon should keep a comfortable feel to a great start to the weekend.
Sunday begins the transition to a warmer couple of days as the jetstream (and all the cool, Alaskan air) head back up into Western Canada as high pressure reaffirms its grip across the Northwest. A high building in the Central Pacific and the one baking the Rockies will work together to pull up warmer air and move our highs back into the mid to upper 80s. Any early morning clouds will be long gone by that time.
Monday, the next ridge of warmer air moves back in, pushing highs back into the upper 80s in the valley and low 90s in the Umpqua. The warmer weather looks to stick around through most of next week as well.
Have a great weekend!
