PORTLAND, Ore. — It’s been nearly two months since a Lane County Deputy and his wife were hit by a car while vacationing in Mexico.
Friday they’re finally together again and back in Oregon.
Michelle Wattier joined her husband Drew at a Portland hospital. Michelle got to Portland about 5 p.m. Friday. She’s been at a San Diego hospital for the last few weeks.
It’s the first time the two have been back in Oregon and under the same roof in more than 40 days.
Her family says she’s happy to be reunited with her husband. She’s still in a lot of pain because of recent surgery, but they’re working on some new pain management plans.
Drew and Michelle were the victims of a hit-and-run accident while in Mexico. This is their third hospital since the accident.

I dont mean to sound rude but why is this such a huge story? just because he is a cop? If he were a garbage man would it ever make the news? just asking….
