The Smell of Rain Is in the Air

Quite the change a day makes! A cloudy day across Western Oregon today, and we should expect the showers to begin later this evening. Moisture is travelling through the region, but with temperatures still in the 80s inland and humidity around 40%, we are still too dry for the rain to make it to the ground surface. It will be quite a wet weekend ahead of us, with a system heading north just off the coast tonight and another system just behind to bring more showers through the day on Sunday. We should have temporary relief from showers on Monday, but with another low pressure making its way down the British Columbia coast, Tuesday will bring another chance of rain.
