The brunt of this storm is already moving east and the steady rain has transitioned to scattered showers. These showers will continue off and on for the second half of the day. Some could contain heavy downpours, lightning and small hail, although will be mixed with sun breaks as well.
The Central Cascades saw the first snowfall of the season Saturday night, but the snow is already starting to melt. Road conditions along Highway 58 remained slick Sunday - but not icy. The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for elevations above 4,000 feet until 5 p.m. Sunday
A possible tornado damaged property and uprooted trees near Longview, Washington. Crews are trying to repair what the storm left behind. Roofs blew off and some fires set after the severe weather knocked down power lines.
Oregon weather did not cooperate for Thursday's partial solar eclipse. The Eugene Astronomical Society set up telescopes for the viewing at The Science Factory. But just as the eclipse hit its peak, the downpour began, forcing everyone to run for cover.
