Justin’s Thursday Night Forecast Discussion:
Nice, big breaks in the rain clouds tonight. In fact, there’s a good shot of the moon peeking out tonight for this first night of November. I’m expecting the clouds breaks to get bigger and thus some patchy fog kick in for the start of our Friday. Lows will cool nicely tonight as well, getting back down into the mid 40s.
Tomorrow is a bit of a transition day for Western Oregon. Another low is sending a weakening front at us, but it shouldn’t have a lot of punch left to it by the time it arrives late afternoon. That said, I’ll keep in a mention of some isolated evening showers so be prepared to dodge a quick moving shower if you are headed to the high school playoff games around the region tomorrow night. Highs will be similar to today with most areas seeing the upper 50s and low 60s at the coast.
The weekend is shaping up nicely, albeit, cloudy overall, but a budding upper level ridge will start to move the jet stream north into British Columbia which will slowly work some warmer air (and certainly) drier air back into our region. Saturday will likely end up the cloudier of the two weekend days as the ridge is still working its way in, but I’m betting we still see some good sun breaks by mid-afternoon. Highs will start to move back into the low 60s by Sunday with partly sunny skies. Next week, we’re talking about mid to upper 60s and sunny afternoons Monday and Tuesday! That’s a great way to start off November in my book.
Have a great Friday!
